New Authorising Engineer [Water]

We're very pleased to announce that we are expanding our team with the arrival of our two new members of staff - a new Authorising Engineer [Water] and Business Development Executive!

Bill Millar

Bill Millar will be joining our team of Authorising Engineers [Water] here at the Water Hygiene Centre and brings with him over 40 years’ experience in Estate and Facilities Management in the NHS and private sector. 

Bill’s previous experience includes:

  • Management of Estates & Facilities Management at a senior level in a large acute trust;

  • Extensive management experience in water systems including the establishment of Water Safety Groups within PFI and acute trusts;

  • Development of Trust wide Health & Safety structure reporting to the Hospital Director and Executive Team

  • Providing professional advice to the Executive Team and Hospital Directors on all matters relating to Facilities, Fire and Health & Safety.

Bill is a Chartered Engineer and an IHEEM registered Authorising Engineer [Water], his previous roles include Head of Facilities and Director of Estates, providing advice and support to improve levels of water safety compliance from the development of remedial plans, preparing for external audits and incident investigations.

Initially Bill will work closely with existing clients in the South of England, providing expert independent professional advice & consultancy support in assessing risk & the safe management of water distribution systems in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG 274 & HTM 04-01. 

Bill is also a Member of the IHEEM Council and Chairs the IHEEM Technical Platform Committee.

Rob Boon

Rob Boon joins the team as our new Business Development Executive. Rob has business development experience and expertise in risk management [health & safety, fire, asbestos and Legionella], sanitation and water hygiene services. Rob will join the sales & marketing team to lead on new sales and help grow the business for both Legionella Risk Assessments and Authorising Engineer [Water]. He is a highly motivated individual who is keen to build and develop our client partnerships in existing and new markets.
